REALITY CLASH EXPANDS EXECUTIVE TEAM AHEAD OFHIGHLY-ANTICIPATED ARMOURY STORE LAUNCH

Reality Gaming Group has appointed Anthony Bray to head up its Operations department, as the development of its upcoming augmented reality (AR) mobile combat game, Reality Clash, gathers pace.

Bray will oversee user acquisition, engagement, retention and marketing, initially focusing on the Reality Clash online Armoury store and Armoury app, both of which are due to go live this March ahead of the game’s release later this year.

Bray has a long track record in video games and mobile, having been part of original team that launched PlayStation into Europe, then going on to produce multiple AAA first party titles for the platform in the mid-90s.

He also ran mobile studio Typhon Mobile for seven years, producing titles for the likes of EA, Player X, Endemol and more. Most recently, Bray has been a Project Manager for a VC, overseeing video game portfolio investments.

As part of his new role, Bray will work closely with the Reality Clash developers in Copenhagen, Brighton and The Philippines, with the team including BAFTA Breakthrough Brit awardee Henry Hoffman, Lead Developer Paul Mottram and Executive Producer Ben Hebb of Near Light (both previously of Zoë Mode).

Bray’s hire follows the recent appointment of Snatch CEO Jamal Hirani to the Reality Clash Advisory Board, with the companies exploring the exciting cross-promotional possibilities that exist between the two titles.

“Reality Clash is an incredibly unique concept with huge potential, I’m delighted and honoured to be a part of this ground-breaking project,” said Bray. “Crypto currency meets Augmented Reality and Video Games is a very powerful mix indeed that promises to deliver a whole new experience for gamers.”

Tony Pearce, Co-Founder of Reality Gaming Group, said: “We’re honored to have someone of Anthony’s calibre on board as we take the Reality Clash project forward. His experience within the game development and mobile apps space will be invaluable to the team as we build towards the game’s release later this year.”

Reality Clash is a free-to-play game for iPhone and Android devices that uses the phone’s camera to render an AR view of the world on-screen, with geolocation gameplay inviting players to enter face-to-face combat with each other in real time.

Combat will take place in real locations – players can invite friends, join tournaments and set up battles in urban areas, parks and woodlands. In-game items, such as weapons, can be bought using in-game crypto currency Reality Clash Gold coins (RCC Gold), with all purchases ERC-20 tokenized on the blockchain.

Reality Clash is due to be released in 3Q18.
