Coldwell Banker Real Estate Agents Host First Virtual Reality Broker’s Open House in Northeast Ohio
Virtual reality is making an impact on home buying and selling. According to two Coldwell Banker Hunter Realty agents in Ohio, hosting virtual reality open houses for the real estate community is the next frontier.
Anthony Colantuono and Mike Crimaldi, sales associates with Coldwell Banker Hunter Realty wanted to attract as many real estate agents as possible to tour the newly-listed $1.65 million property in Moreland Hills, Ohio. Instead of hosting a traditional broker’s open house, they invited 120 real estate agents and brokers to experience the home through Samsung Virtual Reality headsets and phones.
Colantuono and Crimaldi filmed all areas of the home utilizing a 360-degree camera and held the broker’s open house at a popular suburban Cleveland restaurant yesterday. It was the first virtual Brokers Open House in Northeast Ohio.
“We were looking for unique ways to market the home and we got excited about the opportunity to use virtual reality when we saw it in action at our Coldwell Banker global conference,” said Colantuono. “We were able to hold the ‘open house’ in a locale closer to the more affluent suburbs of Cleveland and attract a larger number of interested agents than we would have in Moreland Hills. You can see every detail of the home through the headsets. When you walk up and down the steps, you actually will reach for the railings.”
