Mirra Launches Public Beta Platform for VR/AR/MR/3D Content Creators

Imagine an interior designer showing off new designs to a potential client in augmented reality, or a museum director launching a preview of an upcoming exhibit using VR, all without writing a single line of code, and creating these experiences in just a few hours.

Available as a public beta starting today, Mirra is a 3D design tool and Platform as a Service developed for the creation and distribution of beautiful interactive Immersive Experiences. “We believe it’s the future of 3D content creation and publishing because we make it dead simple for anyone to create in this next frontier,” said Kevin Farnham, founder of Mirra.

“We think that it’s similar to what Squarespace did to make publishing new, beautiful websites simple or what Photoshop did to make graphic design easier.” This means that a content creator can design an Immersive Experience (VR/AR/MR) in the same amount of time it takes to make a presentation in a tool like Powerpoint.”“We think that people will use Mirra for a wide array of purposes: presentations, product tours, sales tools, training, portfolios, location tours, brand marketing experiences, promotional experiences, educational content, galleries, Immersive experience prototyping, and more,” said Farnham.”

Creators upload images, video, audio, 360 images, 360 video, and 3D models. Mirra optimizes the media and places it in their Library. Experiences are cloud hosted and made instantly available through their choice of platforms including Oculus, Vive, desktop and more.
