Oculus VR Acquires Pebbles Interfaces
Oculus VR has made another strategic acquisition; the company has acquired Pebbles Interfaces, an intuitive computer interaction specialist founded in 2010. Oculus VR has announced on the Oculus Blog regarding the acquisition of the Israel based VR startup. The acquisition term remains undisclosed; rumor has it, that it is around $60 million.
Pebbles’ core technology enables users to visualize their own hands in the virtual environment, which makes the virtual interaction more realistic! According to Techcrunch, Pebbles team will join Oculus’hardware engineering and computer vision teams “ and help advance virtual reality, tracking, and human-computer interactions.”
