YinzCam, Kansas City Chiefs Launch Refreshing Augmented Reality Promotion
Kansas City Chiefs fans have an entertaining new way to celebrate their team’s history this season thanks to an augmented reality promotion created in collaboration with YinzCam, the mobile app and AR developer based in Pittsburgh.
The “Coca-Cola Refreshing Moments in Chiefs History” campaign invites fans to purchase a special edition, Chiefs-branded Coca-Cola can, which can then be scanned by the built-in camera within the team’s official mobile app, triggering an AR video board to appear above the can. Fans can then choose from a selection of historic plays, turning the physical can clockwise to rewind, or counter clockwise to fast forward the virtual videos.
Additionally, fans who watch closely will spot six different codes embedded within the highlights, which can be entered in the Chiefs Kingdom Rewards program inside the team’s app for a chance to win a trip for two to the Chiefs-Cowboys game in Dallas on Nov. 5, 2017.

The limited edition, 16-ounce Chiefs Coca-Cola cans can be purchased at grocery stores and gas stations throughout Missouri, Kansas and Nebraska.
