Enjoy a stunning view of the bridge linking Clifton, Bristol, and Leigh Woods in the North Somerset.
The bridge has been a toll bridge since it’s opening in 1864, and the incomes of the bridge have always provided funds for general maintenance. The bridge was designed by William Henry Barlow and John Hawkshaw, and listed as a grade I building.
The Clifton Bridge has been a landmark, and used on promotional materials, webs sites, and postcards to symbolize Bristol. Several films and commercials also used the bridge as backdrops, it was also the venue for hosting the first bungee jump back in 1979. The handover of the Olympic Torch relay back in 2012 also took place at the bridge.
