Camasutra VR Unveils Eye-Popping Virtual Porn Stars at 2018 AVN Show
Camasutra Industries, the studio behind the eye-popping 3D porn star avatar experience has finally showcased its innovative technology at AVN Adult Entertainment Conference and Expo 2018.
CamaSutra took conference attendees into a next generation virtual reality porn experience with realistic, lifelike porn star’s 3D avatar at its booth. With private demos that intrigued both adult entertainment industry professionals and fans.
“Our big plan is to create uncensored worlds where people can have real-time experiences with our digital avatars, finding ways for adult stars to represent themselves in the digital world, creating new revenue streams and experiences in the industry,” said Adam Sutra, Camasutra Industries’ founding partner and CEO.
Attendees were impressed by Camasutra VR’s many uses of the combination of 3D scanning, avatar rigging, augmented reality technology and an Open World Gaming platform for adult that is currently in development.
“It’s crazy, when looking at myself in VR, I could see things about my body that only I really ever notice,” said performer Casey Calvert, whose avatar was front and center at the Camasutra Industries booth. “Its realness is truly amazing.”
In the private demo, attendees had experienced three different positions and situations with porn actress Casey’s avatar, and were able to interact with Casey Calvert’s 3D avatar by using their hands to touch and manipulate the virtual porn star avatar.
In one of the virtual scene, Casey Calvert and male porn star Donny Sins were positioned doggy-style in a ‘third person perspective’ so the viewer could ‘step in’ to Donny’s body and experience the scene from his point of view.
“Crafting a lifelike nude character in real-time is our holy grail,” said Sutra. “This is a complicated technical endeavor that requires a tremendous amount of research, unlike pre-rendered blockbuster movies, where it can take days to render one frame… we are trying to achieve this in real-time and at 90 frames per second!”
