LumaPie Won The Big Data VR Challenge By Epic Games & Wellcome Trust

Epic Games just announced the grand winner of “The Big Data VR Challenge” hosted by Epic Games with the global charity foundation Wellcome Trust.

LumaPie, a collaborative effort between Master of Pie ( creative studio ) and Lumacode ( software developing consulting agency ) took home $20,000 total prize money!

LumaPie, a collaboration between creative studio Masters of Pie and 3D software development consultancy Lumacode, has been named the winner of the Big Data VR Challenge. The contest was hosted by Epic Games in collaboration with the Wellcome Trust. Below is “The Olympians” by Master of Pie.

LumaPie had won the contest with a “VR visualization of study results of environmental and genetic factors that have shaped the development the lives of more than 14,000 residents of the city of Bristol.” A project based on based on ALSPAC’s Children of the 90s data.
