Nikon Unveiled 360 Degree 4K Camera For Consumer @ CES 2016 – KeyMission 360
Nikon announced their entry into the VR market this week at CES 2016. CES attendees were not allow to touchable the actual camera, and very little details were given about the 360 camera. All we know so far is that Nikon Key Mission is a 4K 360 degree camera with lens on two opposite sides, has it’s own wireless remote controller, tripod and mounting system.
Besides its 4K high resolution, KeyMission‘s aspherical lens is able to capture full-imagery with no blind spot. It also has built-in stabilization and electronic vibration reduction for shooting action video such as mountain biking and snowboarding.
“Entering the action segment is a significant milestone,” says Tadashi Nakayama, Nikon’s corporate vice president in the Imaging Business Unit. “We believe this is the breakthrough the action category needs at this moment, and it allows us to redefine this area.” Nakayama says the action cam market needs to move into the VR space. KeyMission 360 Launching In Spring 2016
KeyMission 360 is built for action packed shooting, as it is shockproof up to 7 feet ( 2 meters ) and waterproof up to 100 feet ( 30 meters ), dust and freeze-proof. According to Nikon, KeyMission 360 will launch officially in Spring 2016!
