Porn Star Brett Rossi Exposes How 3D Porn Movies are Made

The Sun interviewed popular porn actress Brett Rossi and advocate Lisa Moore, to enter the world of 3D porn movie production.

Viewing 3D porn involves using a virtual reality head mounted device, a device with a screen that puts you in a immersed virtual environment, transport you and makes you feel like you are somewhere else.

You’ll feel as though you are immersed in an actual adult movie theme scene with the porn star, in a first person POV.

In this first person POV, you’ll truly feel like you are interacting and having virtual sex with the porn stars, these type of movies were shot with the intention to make you feel like you are participating in the scene.

Porn Star Brett Rossi told The Sun in the interview about how she participated in the 3D adult film, with the intention of making viewers feel like there is real interaction going on.

“You are the only one who talks. With VR porn, it’s a first-person perspective, so you have to be the entertainer. You have to pretend like there’s someone there. There is someone there, but you have to pretend like they’re communicating with you.”

“But really, the male talent that you’re using is a prop, they’re just keeping an erection. They can’t talk, they can’t move, you have to do everything. They can’t touch you most of the time, they’re just there. So you just use him for your own benefit.”

From our perspective as long term 3D VR porn users, our favorite top 3D movie scenes are often featured porn stars with the most natural eye contact and body language, an porn act so natural, so realistic, that we literally felt we are having wild sex with her in the 3D world!

Behind the Scene and how it is made?

According to Brett Rossi, generally speaking, when a female porn actress is shooting a 3D porn scene, there will be a male porn star present.

Most often than not, the male star lies on his back while performing sex with the actress, and with a head mounted custom 180-360 degree VR camera rig on his head to capture the actress’ performance and act.

“The camera is, I would say, level to where the viewer would be, to make it feel like first-person. Some companies don’t want males touching the female counterpart, because they don’t want it to disrupt the reality of the viewer.” said Brett Rossi.

She said that performers have to stay in an “invisible triangle” for the best visual effect.

It’s also a much longer process to create a VR video compared to typical porn productions.

“I’ve worked on some sets where it only takes five hours, but it’s definitely much longer than a normal boy-girl scene. Because a lot of time is designated to setting up the camera, and measuring the male talent, and making sure the camera is right.”

Here is a 3D porn behind the scene Youtube video from BadoinkVR, showcasing another alternative when shooting VR film. The studio shoots their VR films with camera crew actually holding custom camera rig, instead of having male actor wearing it on his head.

Another 3D porn studio VRBangers took the different approach with a conceptual head-mounted camera rig. Check it in this article from Geek.com.
