AR Conference Presents Don’t Drive So Fast, There are Dangers Ahead Helmet

Every day we hear about lots of road accidents on the news, which take people’s lives. Statistically, motorcyclists fall into a special risk zone. The best way to avoid an accident is to take preventive measures. It was for this purpose that the below mentioned gadget was created.

For the first time in Russia, the innovation platform AR Conference will feature a warning helmet LiveMap. Its peculiarity is an embedded navigation system with augmented reality, which will help motorcyclists to react quickly on unexpected situations, preventing traffic accidents.

At the AR Conference, founder of the project Andrey Artischev will tell how a motorcycle helmet with augmented reality can become an integral part of motorcycle outfit that saves human lives.

LiveMap was created due to collaborative efforts of Russian, American and Japanese developers. It uses the operational principle of pilot helmets with navigation, that’s why the image is streamed clearly, independently of external lighting. The image is transparent and is located in the upper part of the device, allowing cyclists to retain vision while driving.

The creator of the device has noted: “The helmet offers motorcyclists the same thing that BMW or Mercedes offer to their clients. Panels of their cars have embedded projectors under the windscreen, which display data from the computer, located in front of the driver. This time-proven solution is very convenient. Moreover, you don’t need to take your eyes off the road, as the image is displayed right in front of you.”

Thus, the gadget does not possess any disadvantages of many augmented reality goggles and headsets, which users face while wearing them during a ride on a bicycle, motorcycle, skiing, in a car, etc.

LiveMap project has come through to the final of the TechCrunch Hardware Battlefield and to the semifinal of the competition Make It Wearable from Intel.

You will be able to learn about current trends, development strategies, and relevant experience of the development of AR/VR industry in Russia and globally on the business platform of the event. More information about the speakers is available here: http://ar-conf.ru/ru/speakers.
