ENDLESS VR LAUNCHES WITH NEW VR SERIES GROWTH

From the award-winning production company Endless Media comes Endless VR – a new virtual reality studio focused on creating narrative driven VR content that pushes the boundaries of storytelling in the VR medium. Combining decades of experience at major film studios, Endless VR’s founders are aiming to bring top film and TV talent to the VR space.

“We’re creating an innovative slate of narrative VR projects,” says Najeeb Khuda Founder & CEO of Endless Media. “We want to take the lessons we’ve learned from cinema and craft a new language for VR storytelling. Working with incredible talent and innovative VR creators, we are targeting content that can define a new generation of storytelling.”

Endless VR launches its new production entity with the pilot episode of a new scripted VR comedy series Growth, a show about an out of shape slacker who decides to turn his life around. The pilot episode, titled “Hot Yoga” follows our lead, Jack Filo, as he enrolls in an advanced hot yoga class. He realizes quickly how severely ill equipped he is as his attention fluctuates between surviving his physical ordeal to his odd and growing obsession with the beautiful Tiffany.

Growth is directed by VR director Jeff Nicholas, who is also directing the ON STAGE series for Hulu VR and Live Nation. Said Jeff: “With this series, we’re trying to take some new steps in VR narrative and comedy. I’m extremely interested in attempting to create fictional, episodic storylines in VR that have a deeper emotional connection – in this case humor – than we’ve seen with VR up until this point. We’re exploring new techniques to do that, and I’m grateful to be able to work with such amazingly talented teams both in front of and behind the camera.”

Growth stars Ari Stidham (CBS’ Scorpion) and Charlotte McKinney (Baywatch). The series is executive produced by Najeeb Khuda and Jeff Nicholas, and produced by Lauren Ciell, Gavin Lurie, and Andrew Joustra.

The pilot episode and future series are produced along with Oculus Studios and the pilot will be available exclusively on Oculus Video for Samsung Gear VR, powered by Oculus on March 22nd.

Endless Media is represented by UTA.
