Exit Reality Debuts PlayVR Turnkey LBVR Solution for the Out-of-Home Entertainment Market

Exit Reality, a leading location-based virtual reality platform solutions company, announced today its partnership with Neurogaming, a world renowned virtual reality technologies and content developer. Together, they launched the new multiplayer unit X Arc, a turnkey VR gaming solution that is packaged with Neurogaming’s PlayVR content platform and optimized for the out-of-home entertainment industry. Currently only available in Europe, the X Arc brings PlayVR’s content library to the U.S. market, along with a wide library of exclusive VR content, including Alpha CentaVR and RevolVR, and fan favorites such as Beat Saber.

As infrastructure is key to delivering premier content and a full-spectrum of services to the out-of-home entertainment market, Exit Reality created the X Arc to be innovative in its design with extensive attract mode capabilities. Director of Industrial Design for Exit Reality, Greg Abbott, a world-renowned virtuoso metal fabrication artist, craftsman and prop builder holding 10 Guinness World Records, constructed the high-end X Arc multiplayer VR attraction. Best known for his work converting gas powered cars to electric and creating massive whimsical objects, Abbott, referred to world-wide as Reverend Gadget, ensured the X Arc features premium infrastructure and best-in-class technology that optimizes user experiences while simplifying system management for the out-of-home entertainment market.

“It’s the ideal solution for FECs, amusement parks, et al. who want to get the most out of virtual reality,” said Yoni Koenig, co-founder of Exit Reality. “The X Arc is our flagship product, a culmination of our goal to provide the best physical infrastructure, digital distribution channel, and services to create a thriving VR LBE business for our customers.”

Neurogaming’s PlayVR platform offers cutting-edge gaming content of various genres that’s optimized for multiplayer gameplay. PlayVR’s content is designed to be immersive and engaging, with a variety of experiences catering to all ages. The platform releases one new game each quarter to ensure consistent access to fresh, new gaming content for repeat customers to engage with. Furthermore, with Neurogaming as the pioneer of mass VR tournaments, multiple players across different countries and continents can be connected in one game. For example, the company has held a massive RevolVR gaming battle with thousands of participants across multiple locations.

“We found a great partner in Exit Reality who shares our vision for what the VR gaming experience should be,” said Yury Krylov, Chief Executive Officer of Neurogaming. “Their expertise in the industry is the reason why we’ve decided to partner with them and we’re looking forward to seeing PlayVR’s content become the talk of the town in cities across the country.”

The location-based VR (LBVR) industry is projected to grow to $14.5 billion by 2020 according to SuperData research, as more VR companies shift their focus away from the consumer market where growth has been sluggish. Given Exit Reality’s history of developing turnkey infrastructure for various establishments from hotels to live events and taking Star Wars VR content across the nation in partnership with Nissan, with the launch of X Arc, the company continues to provide optimal solutions for family entertainment centers, theme parks and other similar establishments.

The X Arc is available for pre-order now and will be available for demo at this year’s IAPPA Attractions Expo (booth #E7135) taking place in Orlando, Fla. in November. For more information about X Arc, please visit exitrealityvr.com.
