Legend 3D Adds New VR Division
Legend 3D, the Industry’s leading 3D conversion and visual effects studio, announced this week that the company has launched a new division dedicated to VR production.
Legend 3D is the studio behind the Hollywood blockbuster film such as “Jupiter Ascending,” “Transformers 4”, and soon-to-be releases “Insurgent” is working in partnership with industry leaders to produce cutting-edge immersive VR experiences.
At CES 2015, Legend partnered with Metaverse to release the VR short “The Recruit: R U In” on the Samsung’s Gear VR under the Milk VR platform.
“The key to successful Virtual Reality is producing innovative content at a high-quality level, and the experience is even more successful when it is delivered in stereoscopic 3D,” said Jared Sandrew, Legend’s Chief Creative Officer.
“Legend has utilized our award-winning 3D pipeline to create a natural and creative way to introduce realism in these virtual worlds. Our approach guarantees more creative flexibility for filmmakers and agency creative, while also being easier on both post-production budget and schedule fronts.”
Legend 3D is also working with a retail brand to provide them with 360° camera solutions to create cinematic VR experiences.
