Purple Pill VR Captured PSV Eindhoven Championship Celebration In VR Using Custom 360 Camera Rig
Worldwide soccer fans, now you can get up close with PSV Eindhoven players in immersive VR celebration! Today, Dutch soccer champion PSV Eindhoven launches a unique virtual reality experience that puts its fans in the heart of its championship celebrations of last seasons league title.
Purple Pill VR’s 16 Lens Custom 360 Degree VR Camera Rig
It provides soccer fans from all over the world an opportunity to get up close and personal with famous PSV players like Memphis Depay, Georginio Wijnaldum, Luuk de Jong and Andrés Guardado. Fans can relive scenes of lifting the trophy, the dressing room celebrations and touring the city on the famous ‘platte kar’. The video was shot with Purple Pill VR’s custom 360 camera rig, equipped with 16 lenses. Fans are able to take control over what they watch.

The VR experience has been produced and created by The Capitals and VR production company Purple Pill VR with the help of Southfields. Purple Pill VR has its own cameras and distribution methods, which make all their material ready for the VR platforms like Oculus, GearVR and more platforms that will launch in 2016. To reach as many fans as possible we have chosen to release the video through the PSV App and Youtube.

PSV Eindhoven won the Eredivisie 2014/2015 title by a consistent performance during the season, after finally beating their rivals Ajax. This has resulted in a great Champions League campaign so far, surviving the group stage with competitors Manchester United, CSKA Moskou and VFL Wolfsburg. PSV will face Atletico Madrid as the final 16 teams battle for a place in the quarter finals. PSV is releasing this VR video as a European first, no other European club has used Virtual Reality to let its fans relive the moment of winning the league.
