SENNHEISER INVESTS IN AR/VR AUDIO COMPANY DEAR REALITY
Dear Reality GmbH partners with Sennheiser, one of the world’s leading manufacturers of headphones, microphones and wireless transmission systems.
Founded in 2014 and based in Germany, Dear Reality GmbH has specialized in innovative software tools for professional audio production of linear and interactive content in AR/VR, games, sound design and music.
The company is acclaimed for its immersive audio plug-ins, state-of-the-art algorithms and cutting-edge audio content creation tools.
Dear Reality’s Spatial Connect software enables an innovative, fully-featured workflow for AR/VR audio productions.
This tool eliminates the need for the audio engineer to switch back and forth between the production environment and the content – the engineer can work in a fully immersive setting. “Mixing for VR has to be done in VR” (Achim Fell, co-founder & CEO). Their already established dearVR – 3D audio reality engine is a sophisticated spatializer plugin released for digital audio workstations and game engines.
