Start VR Creates Immersive 360 Fractal World for Artist Julius Horsthuis

Sydney, Australia and San Francisco-based virtual reality studio Start VR created an immersive 360-degree experience, Fractasia,” for renowned fractal artist, 3D animator and VFX Supervisor Julius Horsthuis. The customized app completely immerses viewers in a stimulating 360-degree fractal world, showcasing Horsthuis’ creations on one central platform. Designed to entice viewers to ignite their imagination and escape into the kaleidoscopic realm of fractal art, the application provides a multi-sensory glimpse into surreal caverns of fractally generated crystals, alien megastructures and mountains of rock gliding to the music of some of the world’s best digital composers.

Start VR developed the experience using its custom interface Startgate, which establishes user engagement properties and provides brands, artists and content creators the tools to publish their own work and reach wider audiences. Using the Startgate interface, Horsthuis will have the opportunity to continually update the app and add an infinite number of immersive 360 experiences when he creates new fractals.
