Submissions Open For First Ever Develop:VR Indie Zone – A showcase of the most exciting indie VR/AR projects

Develop:VR’s search for up and coming indie talent in the VR/AR space is underway, with submissions open for developers and studios to feature in the first Indie Zone at www.developvr.co.uk.

The Indie Zone is an area within the Develop:VR Expo showcasing 10 of the most exciting indie VR/AR projects submitted. Any project, gaming or non-gaming, will be considered as long as the project is independently developed by no more than 15 people in the studio, the development budget for the project is less than £1 million and the VR/AR project has been created in the ‘indie spirit’.

Submissions close on Monday 26 September and following submissions, Solomon Rodgers (Rewind:VR), Sam Watts (Make Real) and Steve Jelly (Hammerhead VR) will whittle down the list to 10, who will each be given a free space in the Expo area.

“At Tandem Events we’ve always aimed to champion Indie Talent,” commented managing director, Andy Lane. “Following on the success of the Indie Showcase, which entered its sixth year at Develop:Brighton 2016, it felt like a natural progression to create an Indie Zone at the first Develop:VR conference and expo. VR and AR offer devs such a creative and relatively unexplored platform; I can’t wait to see the projects entered.”

The deadline for developers and studios to submit their project to the Indie Zone is Monday 26 September.
