The HTC Vive Will Attend VRLA Spring Expo

The VR scene has lined up each and every rival headsets to showcase their latest VR experiences. One of the hottest industry news in the first quarter of 2015 is that leading smartphone manufacture HTC has recently teamed up with game developer Valve software.

 

The collaboration between the two industry leaders focuses on further improvements for Vive’s head-mounted display, which is schedule to release later this year. MIT’s Technology Review recently claimed the HTC Vive as “The Best VR Experience So Far”.

 

Similar to Oculus’s Crescent Bay demo at CES the year which incorporate internal accelerometers, the HTC Vive comes with two laser tracking boxes that track user’s body movement. Users are able to physically walked around the virtual world.

 

VRLA 2015

 

The controllers from Valve system make a big difference to the VR experience on the HTC Vive and the Oculus Rift. Virtual Reality Los Angeles (VRLA) confirmed that the HTC Vive head-mounted display would make their first public demonstration at the VRLA Spring Expo, in Los Angeles this week.
