VR NOW Con & Awards on 15 and 16 November 2017

The VR NOW Con & Awards are back – one day longer and with more awards: the international English-language „VR NOW Con – The Tech Biz Art Conference“ has been extended by a day after the successful premiere in 2016 and will be held this year on Wednesday, 15 November in Potsdam at the Schinkelhalle on Schiffbauerdamm, followed by additional workshops and satellite events on Thursday, 16 November in Berlin and Potsdam. The festive highlight on Wednesday evening will be the presentation of the VR NOW Awards, the first award ceremony in Germany dedicated exclusively to Virtual Reality projects. The four categories were expanded to five as a concession to the great demand and the complex nature of the subject matter

VR NOW Con: current trends, prospects and developments within the industry
The conference addresses the very latest impulses and trends in the Virtual Reality industry, including Augmented Reality (AR), Mixed Reality (MR) and 360° Video. Numerous speakers from around the world will be presenting new business models and sustainable prospects for the successful deployment and the various possibilities of Virtual Reality. Those expected to attend as speakers include Gabo Arora (UNVR, USA), Drew van Wyk (Dreamworks/Amblin, USA), Sarah Kinga Smith (Reverse Engineering Studios, USA/UK/Germany), Christopher Sibley(Phenomenon Media, USA), Lina Reinsbakken (Nornstudio, Norway), Leif Petersen (IGNYTE, Germany), Gayatri Parameswaran (NowHere Media, Germany), Eddie Lou (Sandman Studios, China), Ioullia Isserlis (AnotherWorld, Germany), Thomas Bedenk (Exozet, VR consultant, Germany) and many more. VR NOW Awards in five categories: deadline for entries is 1 October
The VR Now Awards will be presented for the second time during the VR Now Con. This year in five categories: VR NOW Grand Prize, VR Tech Award, VR Industry Award, VR Entertainment Award and VR Impact Award. The awards recognise outstanding technical, business and artistic achievements by the Virtual Reality industry. An expert jury will decide on the winners. Entries can now be submitted with immediate effect until 1 October at http://awards.vrnowcon.io.

The conference and the award ceremony are staged by the Virtual Reality e.V. Berlin-Brandenburg, produced by Booster Space – Made with Love in Berlin and supported by Medienboard Berlin-Brandenburg.
