VRstudios Unveils “Player Zero” – Where VR Spectators Join The VR Game

New Enhanced Spectator Gaming Capability and Commercially Available Western Shoot-Out “Barking Irons” Game Featured At VRLA August 5-6, 2016, Booth D4″

VRstudios, the leader in wireless, full-motion and multi-user VR experiences for entertainment and commercial enterprise, announced today, that the company will include a new enhanced spectator experience feature, called Player Zero, as part of its exclusive suite of virtual reality capabilities. The company also announced that its Western shoot-out game, Barking Irons, is now commercially available.

Player Zero is an enhanced spectator view of the virtual experience. It allows observers outside of the VRcade player capture space to see a vivid, full-screen image from the eyes of the VR player, as well as various dynamic third-person and birds-eye visuals of the gameplay action. The new function will be available within future VR content, experiences and solutions provided by the company.

The wireless and multi-player Barking Irons game and Player Zero will be featured at the VRstudios booth, D4, at VRLA Expo (www.virtualrealityla.com) in Los Angeles on August 5 -6, 2016.

“VRstudios’ Player Zero makes observing a VRcade experience closer to watching people play a sport than a traditional video game,” said Jamie Kelly, co-founder and president of VRcade. “This is just the beginning of VRstudios’ enhancement of the spectating experience. Many related features will be included in future VRstudios and VRcade content releases.”

Developed by VRstudios’ gaming and entertainment division, VRcade, Barking Irons is the first VR game to feature multiplayer capabilities combined with the industry’s first wireless-streamed head-mounted display running on a high-powered gaming computer – all to be provided for full immersion and interactivity without the need for any wires, mobile phones or backpacks.

Players of Barking Irons need to save a dusty, Western town from shooting bandits in the hopes that one of them will become the new sheriff.

“To succeed at Barking Irons, you have to be physically fast, accurate, and ultimately, your athleticism determines your effectiveness in the game,” added Ivan Blaustein, director, product integration at VRstudios. “That’s what makes our VR offerings unique and shows why our enhanced spectator ability with Player Zero will be popular with players and spectators, alike.”

VRstudios’ systems, content and experiences are gaining momentum around the globe. The company has recently announced partnerships with entertainment and distribution leaders, such as Meraas’ Hub Zero, Simuline, Smartlaunch and Stampede.
