Vuzix Welcomes Evolar, Oculavis, NxTbase Technologies, Idnet into Vuzix Industrial Partner (VIP) Program

Vuzix® Corporation (NASDAQ: VUZI), a leading supplier of Smart Glasses, Augmented Reality (AR) and Virtual Reality (VR) technologies and products for the consumer and enterprise markets, is pleased to announce four more of the most recent application partners to join the Vuzix Industrial Partner (VIP) program. As Vuzix VIPs, they have received early access to Vuzix M300 Smart Glasses and have been adapting their enterprise applications for the state-of-the-art M300 platform. These VIPs are now leveraging the advanced feature set of the M300 to deploy their solutions on smart glasses at scale for their client use cases as detailed below:

Evolar is a pioneer in Smart Glasses apps, and in 2014 introduced one of the first global Smart Glasses & Augmented Reality applications specifically for logistics. Over these years, Evolar has become one of the most experienced companies in using the Vuzix M100 in industrial production environments, now offering the logistics app suite of smartpick, smartsort, and smartdesk. The Belgian based company, in close collaboration with leading postal, industrial and manufacturing companies has successfully implemented several ‘hands-free’ solutions with a proven increase of productivity, less errors and with a high degree of satisfaction by the end-users, often experiencing 6-month ROI. The M300 is a major step forward in functionality and ergonomics specific to the warehouse use case that will increase the productivity and enhance the acceptance of Evolar‘s users.

Oculavis changes the world of remote collaboration and worldwide knowledge management with their application SHARE. This software platform allows configuration, application, documentation and sharing of remote processes with tablets, smartphones and smart glasses. SHARE connects with enterprise planning systems as well as machine infrastructure, e.g. with interfaces like OPC-UA or machine controls. This assures a single source of truth for data storage. Oculavis is a spin-off from them German Fraunhofer IPT Institute for Production technology, with a strong background in research and industry, and therefore has unique knowledge in digital transformation of industrial companies. Oculavis has been demonstrating the new Vuzix M300 to audiences across Germany, and will implement the new hardware into the operation of their clients such as ABB, Daimler, Artis Marposs and Georg Fischer. Oculavis appreciates the VUZIX strategy to address the industrial market with robust and long-lasting devices such as the M300.

NxTbase Technologies serves the global industrial sector with solutions for efficient field service, logistics and manufacturing. Founded in 2013 as a high-tech start-up, NxTbase combines many years of IT and SCM experience and relies heavily on deep competencies in augmented and mixed reality, digital imaging and human-computer interaction. NxTbase used this expertise to turn smart glasses into practical solutions for some of Europe’s leading companies, such as DHL, MAN or SBB cargo international with logistic and maintenance support via different Smart Devices; soon with Vuzix M300 Smart Glasses. The Vuzix M300 will be connected to the NxTbase Mobile Device and Application Management platform and will help to deliver hands-free, voice activated digital support for Industry 4.O and IoT applications.

Idnet is a highly skilled consultancy and integrator that creates effective logistics for retail stores and warehouses. Their goal is to provide their clients with modern and future-proof logistics solutions resulting in improved work practices, increased profitability and better ergonomics. Deliveries consist of WMS solutions and/or integration with existing warehouse/business/and store information systems that allows the customer to maximize system utilization and increases the efficiency and quality significantly. Customers consist largely of leading Swedish chain stores but also companies in the e-commerce, 3PL and manufacturing industries. Idnet is headquartered in Gothenburg with a local office in Björbo, Sweden. Idnet always focus on developing the best solution for each customer, and will leverage Vuzix M300 smart glasses for applications in both warehouse and front of store retail applications.
