Nokia Scheduled to Announce VR Plan NOWHERE – July 28 @ The Hudson Loft

Update Breaking News July 28 – Nokia has just announced Nokia OZO, a brand new virtual reality 360 degree video camera made for professional storyteller, VR content producer and movie makers.

According to Re / Code, Nokia is planning to announce its plan to enter virtual reality industry next week @ The Hudson Loft in Los Angeles on July 28!

During last week’s Nokia shareholder meeting, an image with two optical lens appeared on screen by the title of “Nokia NOWHERE”, couldn’t really tell if it’s a VR headset, 360 video camera or other VR device. The image also tell audience to save the date for the VIP event hosted by Nokia Technologies on the evening of July 28, for the big virtual reality related announcement taking place @ The Hudson Loft in Los Angeles!

The Finland mobile company that had once dominated mobile phone market, sold its mobile phone business to Microsoft, and had been planning to re-start its smartphone business by granting licenses to potential partners.

 

Nokia CEO Rajeev Suri reportedly said in last week’s shareholder meeting “immersive imaging” as among the areas the company was pursuing. Nokia Technologies had declined to comment on their plans to enter virtual reality market.
