Review of Lovense Diamo - A Cock Ring for Remote Play
Lovense is slowly extending their reach when it comes to sex toys that are bluetooth connected by introducing Diamo, the first one they have for cock rings.
With Lovense being the go-to choice during this pandemic because of its almost perfectly designed app that can be controlled even if it’s long-distance called Lovense Remote. But Diamo is a little bit late being introduced to the world, but there’s not really a lot of cock rings that you can control long-distance that’s on the market right now.
But with Diamo on the loose, everyone that has penises can now enjoy Lovense’s new toy.
Design and Functionality
The Diamo comes in a well-packaged box and really looks like a top-of-the-line toy. The model comes in a black silicone color, which makes it really plain-looking but fine nonetheless. It also has a pouch to store it with, a magnetic cable charger, and a really easy-to-understand instruction manual.
On the side of the cock ring, you’ll see the dual magnetic points to charge it with, and has a little nodule that you can use a button to simply operate the Diamo. The good thing is, even with those two charging points, the Diamo is waterproof.
Hardware
It’s really a good cock ring but take note that the silicone is only going to be interrupted by the two nubs that are used for charging - meaning that there’s no little piece of rubber to take off to see the micro-USB port, since it’s totally magnetic and will simply attach into place just like that.
There’s only one direction that it works for, so you need to make sure that you’ll see that red charging light, just to be sure it’s indeed doing what it needs to do. So the silicone material that wraps the Diamo can be somewhat of a challenge, so follow the instructions when they say that you need to put it on before getting aroused.
But the thing is, it’s kinda easy to put while standing, but it has a really small tendency to squish your balls at least twice while trying to wear it.
Software
The Diamo seamlessly connects to the app via Bluetooth, and it’s really a tad bit more user-friendly than the other Lovense toys that need your phone’s wifi connection before it can be operated so it’s a relief for everyone.
If you’re worried about any teething problems, don’t worry since with my experience with the Diamo, it never tried to connect to a different device. And the interface feels like it’s really well made other than the 2 problems I’ve encountered.
The first one was when I was trying to use the app while in the middle of doing the deed, and it had to give a pop up asking me to verify my email address, though it can be skipped some people might find this a bit annoying.
The second was it asks for your permission to run in the background, so if you’re a little privacy-conscious, this might set you off just a little bit. If you choose not to let it run in the background, there’s a tendency that it’ll disconnect if you access other stuff on your device.
In Use
Couples Play
Since the ring really is a bit dense, the vibrations coming out of it really transmit well, but it can only really be felt if it’s being pressed hard against your partner.
The manual also says that the ring has 4 orientations that can be utilized, meaning it can go below or above your penis or it can go backward or point forward. With these 4 options, you have a lot more options to see which fits best for you, making sure that you maximize the vibrations on you and your partner's sensitive areas, and also know which position can maximize the vibration when you’re already penetrating. It can be a little bit underslung since my testicles sometimes get in the way.
Another thing that was quite enjoyable when doing partnered play using the Diamo is that my partner can have control over the toy just by handing the phone over to her so that she can also make sure that the vibrations are just right for her.
The app has a feature that allows you to control the toy from a distance, and that means literally anywhere. The wearer just needs to make sure that the app is connected, and will also need to share permission to whoever the other user is so you have to be sure whoever it is that you’re sharing access with.
It also has a chat function that you can utilize while remotely using it with your partner, though it’s also achievable using any other messaging platform. But you might want to store your private dirty talk in the chat function for the Lovense app, just for privacy purposes.
So all in all, the toy is good for initiating arousal, but will really need help using another toy like Lovense’s Max 2 or hands just to get to the finish line.
Solo Play
If you’re using the Diamo for solo play, you’ll find out that it struggles with the same thing that other cock rings has, that pretty much has to do with the design since cock rings will sit at the other end of your penis to your most sensitive parts, and with that being said, the vibrations that the Diamo emits are deep and will rumble in a way that will only work on the early stages of arousal.
Product Rating Summary
In a nutshell, if you’re masturbating using the Diamo, it won’t make the experience awkward, but it will feel different, My partner and I tried using it to act like somewhat of a vibrator but the vibrations that go through the silicone material makes it a bit hard to hold. But since it’s not meant to be used for a clitoris, it can somewhat be of use.

The Diamo is a great example of what a cock ring should be, and it comes with a couple of good features since it’s a Lovense toy, the struggles that it has can be attributed to how cock rings are really just designed, not really against the toy itself thus getting a “3” out of this review.
The long-distance feature is a really nice option considering that a lot of people are still currently living far from their partners because of Covid-19. If you plan to use the Diamo entirely for solo play, we really won’t advise that.
So whether you have your partner living with you, or if you own a couple of toys already, adding the Diamo gives your sexy time another set of possibilities.
